Overview
CommerceKind (CommerceKind LLC) is an Amazon and TikTok Shop growth agency headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, USA, serving brands and agencies remotely from Jacksonville, Florida. We provide Amazon account management, PPC advertising, listing optimization, reporting, and related growth services to brand owners and agencies.
This Privacy Policy explains how CommerceKind collects, uses, stores, protects, shares, and deletes information when you visit commercekind.com, contact us, become a client, or authorize our Amazon Selling Partner API (SP-API) integration.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us through forms and interactions:
- Contact details (name, business email address, and phone number)
- Company and brand identification details
- Amazon storefront URL, ASINs, or marketplace identifiers
- Business metrics you choose to provide (revenue range, ad spend tiers, growth goals)
- Inquiries, audit requests, and correspondence with our team
When a client authorizes our SP-API integration, we also receive Amazon information as described in the Amazon Selling Partner API Data section below. We also collect standard technical usage data (such as browser type, device, pages visited, and approximate location derived from IP address) through Google Analytics, as described under Cookies and Analytics.
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information solely for professional business purposes:
- To evaluate account eligibility and prepare requested Amazon audits
- To prepare proposals and schedule consultations
- To deliver contracted advertising, listing optimization, account management, and reporting services
- To communicate service updates, performance reports, and operational notices
- To maintain the security and integrity of our systems
CommerceKind never sells, rents, leases, or trades personal information or client data to third parties.
Amazon Selling Partner API Data
This section applies to information we receive from Amazon through the CommerceKind SP-API Integration ("Amazon Information"). We handle Amazon Information in accordance with Amazon's Acceptable Use Policy, Data Protection Policy, and Solution Provider Portal Agreement.
What Data We Access
We access Amazon Information only after a Selling Partner (an Amazon seller or vendor) authorizes CommerceKind through Amazon's official authorization flow, and only for the roles that Selling Partner approves. Depending on the services in the client's agreement, this can include catalog and listing data, pricing for the client's own offers, order and sales & traffic reports, inventory and fulfillment data, and Brand Analytics reports for brands enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry.
We request only the minimum roles necessary to deliver the services the Selling Partner has engaged us for.
How We Use Amazon Information
Amazon Information is used solely to provide the services the authorizing Selling Partner requested from us: account management, listing and SEO optimization, advertising strategy support, inventory and account health monitoring, and performance reporting for that Selling Partner's own account.
Data obtained from a Selling Partner is used exclusively for that Selling Partner. We do not repurpose Amazon Information for any other commercial purpose.
Brand Analytics Use
With the brand owner's authorization, we use Brand Analytics reports (such as Search Query Performance and search term reports) to understand which customer searches lead to impressions, clicks, cart additions, and purchases of that brand's own products.
We use these insights only to improve that brand's own listing copy, keyword targeting, and advertising, and to report results back to that brand. Brand Analytics information obtained from one Selling Partner is never used to analyze, benchmark, or provide services or information to any other Selling Partner or brand.
What We Never Do With Amazon Information
- We do not aggregate or combine Amazon Information across Selling Partners.
- We do not use Amazon Information to provide information about other sellers or brands, or to benchmark one seller against another.
- We do not sell, license, rent, or distribute Amazon Information to any third party.
- We do not use Amazon Information to train AI or machine-learning models.
- We do not use buyer personal information for marketing, and we do not contact a Selling Partner's customers.
When our team reviews other products on Amazon as part of normal marketing work, we use only information any shopper can see on Amazon or licensed third-party research tools, not Amazon Information. Our separate self-serve tool, RankAura, does not connect to Seller Central or the SP-API and does not receive Amazon Information.
Sharing of Amazon Information
Reports and results based on Amazon Information are shared only with the Selling Partner who authorized us and with people that Selling Partner directs us to share them with (for example, the brand's own staff or an agency the brand has engaged).
Infrastructure providers that host or transmit data on our behalf may process Amazon Information only to provide their services to us, under confidentiality and security obligations at least as protective as this policy. We do not otherwise disclose Amazon Information unless required by law.
Authorization and Revocation
Amazon Information is accessed only after authorization through Amazon's official OAuth consent workflow. Selling Partners keep full control of their permissions and can review or revoke CommerceKind's access at any time in Seller Central under Apps and Services > Manage Your Apps. Once access is revoked we can no longer retrieve new data from that account.
Security
We protect Amazon Information with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards: credential-controlled and role-based access limited to the team members who manage the account, encryption in transit using TLS, encrypted database connections, and routine security reviews.
If we become aware of a security incident involving Amazon Information, we will notify Amazon and affected Selling Partners as required by Amazon's Data Protection Policy and applicable law.
Retention and Deletion
Amazon Information is retained only as long as necessary to deliver the services requested or as required by law. When a Selling Partner revokes access, ends our engagement, or sends a deletion request to hello@commercekind.com, we delete the Amazon Information we hold for that account in accordance with Amazon's Data Protection Policy.
What the integration does, which data it uses, and how authorization works.
Data Storage and Security
We apply technical safeguards including firewalls, encrypted database connections, role-based identity management, and routine security reviews.
Internal access to client data is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to fulfill specific contract obligations.
Third-Party Services
We use third-party providers for cloud infrastructure, email, scheduling (for example, our booking calendar), form delivery, and website analytics. These providers process data only to provide their services to us.
All third-party vendors must comply with applicable data protection laws and confidentiality obligations. Amazon Information is shared with service providers only as described in the Amazon Selling Partner API Data section.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you or your business
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete records
- Request deletion of your data, including Amazon Information and authorization credentials
- Withdraw consent or opt out of non-essential communications
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@commercekind.com. We respond within 30 days.
Cookies and Analytics
Our website uses necessary cookies for basic functionality and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate. Google Analytics may set cookies and collect usage data as described in Google's privacy policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. We do not use cross-site advertising or retargeting pixels on this website.
Children's Privacy
Our services are directed to businesses and brand owners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years of age.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes affecting Amazon Information will not reduce the protections described above.
