AT A GLANCE

The CommerceKind SP-API Integration

A plain-language summary for sellers, brand owners, and Amazon reviewers.

What it is

A back-office integration that lets our team retrieve the Amazon reports and account data you authorize, so we can manage, optimize, and report on your account as part of our services.

Who it is for

Amazon sellers and Brand Registry brand owners who hire CommerceKind for managed services. It is not a self-serve data product and is not offered as a data feed to anyone.

How access works

You authorize CommerceKind through Amazon's official consent page in Seller Central. You choose to grant it and you can revoke it at any time in Manage Your Apps.

Whose data it uses

Only the data of the Selling Partner who authorized us, used only for that Selling Partner. Never combined with other sellers' data and never used to report on any other seller.

OUR CAPABILITIES

What the Integration Does

Each function below works only on the account of the Selling Partner who authorized CommerceKind, and only for the services that Selling Partner engaged us to provide.

Account Management

We use your catalog, inventory, pricing, and order information to manage your listings, monitor stock and account health, resolve listing issues, and run day-to-day operations on your account.

Performance Reporting

We use your own sales and traffic reports to track your KPIs (sales, sessions, conversion rate, inventory) and produce weekly and monthly reports for your business.

Listing & SEO Optimization

We use your catalog data and your own Brand Analytics search data to improve your titles, bullet points, A+ content, and keyword coverage.

Advertising & Growth Strategy

We use your sales and conversion data to inform your advertising strategy, keyword targeting, and budgets, so campaign decisions reflect how your own products actually sell.

BRAND ANALYTICS ROLE

Brand Analytics Reporting: What It Is

Brand Analytics is available only to brand owners enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry. For those clients, and only with their authorization, we use Brand Analytics reports to improve the brand's own listings and advertising and to report results back to that brand. Who it is for: Brand Registry brand owners who engage CommerceKind for managed services.

Search Query Performance

We analyze your Search Query Performance report to see which customer searches lead to impressions, clicks, cart additions, and purchases of your own ASINs, and where your own funnel drops off.

Keyword Priorities for Your Catalog

We use your Brand Analytics search term data to decide which keywords to prioritise in your own listing copy, backend search terms, and Sponsored Products campaigns.

Performance Reporting

Brand Analytics results are included in the reports we deliver to you, the brand that authorized access. They are never published, resold, or shown to other clients.

DATA USE

What Data We Use and Why

We request only the roles needed for the services in your agreement. Every row applies only to the Selling Partner who authorized CommerceKind.

We do not use buyer personal information for analytics, reporting, or marketing, and we do not contact your customers. Amazon data is not used to train AI or machine-learning models.

ACCEPTABLE USE

What We Never Do With Amazon Data

These limits apply to every Amazon role we use, including Brand Analytics, and follow Amazon's Acceptable Use Policy and Data Protection Policy.

No reporting on other sellers from Amazon data

We do not use SP-API or Brand Analytics data to provide information about any other seller or brand.

No aggregation across sellers

We do not combine, pool, or aggregate Amazon data from different Selling Partners, including our own clients.

No cross-seller benchmarking

We do not benchmark one seller against another using Amazon data, and one client never sees another client's data.

No selling, licensing, or sharing

We do not sell, license, rent, or distribute Amazon data. Results go only to the Selling Partner who authorized us.

When our team reviews other products on Amazon as part of normal marketing work, we use only what any shopper can see on Amazon or licensed third-party research tools, never SP-API or Brand Analytics data. Our separate self-serve tool, RankAura, does not connect to Seller Central or the SP-API (see Tools).

OUR COMMITMENT

Your Data Stays With Your Business

Amazon information, including Brand Analytics, is used only to provide services to the Selling Partner from whom the data originates. We do not aggregate it across sellers, we do not use it to analyze, benchmark, or provide information about any other seller or brand, and we do not sell, license, or distribute Amazon data to third parties.

FAQs

Questions About the CommerceKind SP-API Integration

What is the CommerceKind SP-API Integration?

It is the software application CommerceKind uses to connect, with your permission, to Amazon's Selling Partner API (SP-API) so our team can deliver the managed Amazon services you hired us for: account management, listing and SEO optimization, advertising strategy support, and performance reporting, including Brand Analytics reporting for brand owners.

Who is it for?

Amazon sellers and Brand Registry brand owners who engage CommerceKind for managed Amazon services. It is not a self-serve data product, and it is not sold as a data feed to anyone.

Which Brand Analytics data do you use, and for what?

With the brand owner's authorization we use Brand Analytics reports such as Search Query Performance and search term reports to see which customer searches lead to the brand's own products and how those searches convert. We use this only to improve that brand's own listings, keywords and advertising, and to report results back to that brand.

Do you use Amazon data to give sellers information about other sellers?

No. We do not aggregate Amazon data across sellers, we do not benchmark one seller against another using Amazon data, and we do not use one Selling Partner's data to provide information or services to any other seller or brand. When we review other products on Amazon as part of normal marketing work, we look only at what any shopper can see on Amazon or in licensed third-party research tools, never at SP-API or Brand Analytics data.

How do I authorize or revoke access?

You authorize CommerceKind through Amazon's official authorization (consent) page from your Seller Central account. You can review or revoke access at any time in Seller Central under Apps and Services > Manage Your Apps. When access is revoked or our engagement ends, we stop retrieving data and delete the Amazon data we hold for your account as described in our Privacy Policy.

How much does it cost?

CommerceKind sells managed services, not data. Our published packages start at $400 per month plus a one-time setup fee, and we never take a percentage of ad spend. Larger or multi-marketplace scopes are quoted after a free consultation. See Pricing for full details.

Is CommerceKind affiliated with Amazon?

CommerceKind is an independent company. Amazon, Seller Central and Brand Analytics are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. Our use of these names only describes the Amazon services our clients use; it does not imply endorsement by Amazon.
