Demand forecasting
Forecasts by product built from sales history, seasonality, ad plans, deals and launches, updated as sales change.
CommerceKind is an Amazon agency that manages FBA inventory for brands: demand forecasts by product, restock quantities and timing, inbound shipments within capacity limits, Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) or 3PL coordination, and control of low-inventory, aged-inventory and storage fees. Our in-house team fixes stranded and suppressed inventory, files reimbursement claims for lost or damaged units and plans stock together with your ads, deals and launches, so products stay in stock without tying up cash.

| Too little stock at FBA | Low-inventory-level fees and slower delivery | Keep enough weeks of cover at FBA, top up from AWD or 3PL |
| Capacity limits | Shipments cannot be sent when needed | Plan inbound by month and prioritise best sellers |
| Stranded or lost units | Inventory that cannot sell or is never reimbursed | Fix listings, remove units and file claims |

On Amazon, running out of stock does more than lose a few days of sales. Organic ranking slips, ads stop serving and competitors take the traffic, and it can take weeks to recover. Holding too much stock costs money too, through storage fees, aged-inventory surcharges and cash tied up in slow products. Good inventory management keeps products in stock with the least cash and fees, which is why we run it alongside ads and listings.
Amazon now charges for both extremes. Low stock at FBA relative to demand can trigger low-inventory-level fees, while stock that sits too long attracts aged-inventory surcharges and higher storage costs, and inbound placement fees depend on how shipments are sent. We track these fees by product, set target weeks of cover and choose shipment options that balance fees with speed.
FBA capacity limits cap how much you can send in, so inbound has to be planned by month and prioritised for best sellers. Many brands keep upstream stock in Amazon Warehousing and Distribution or a 3PL and top up FBA from there. We plan transfers, watch capacity and keep the fastest-moving products covered first.
Inventory plans fail when they ignore marketing. A big Prime Day push, a new product launch or a jump in PPC budget all change demand. Because the same team runs ads and inventory, budgets are raised only when stock can support them and paused before a product runs out. Consumable brands also need stock for Subscribe and Save deliveries. We manage $3M+ in monthly ad spend across our clients. Results depend on product, margin and category, and we share a plan after reviewing your account.
Units can get stranded when a listing breaks, become unfulfillable after damage or go missing in Amazon’s network. We fix the listing issues, plan removals or liquidations where they make sense and file reimbursement claims for lost and damaged units. See our Amazon reimbursement services.

It is a fee Amazon can charge on some FBA products when stock at Amazon is low compared with recent sales. Keeping enough weeks of cover at FBA usually avoids it. We track it by product.
AWD is Amazon’s upstream storage service that holds bulk inventory and can replenish FBA automatically. It can lower storage costs and help with capacity limits for some brands. We compare it with your 3PL.
Amazon sets limits on how much inventory you can send to FBA over a period, based on factors such as sales and inventory performance. We plan inbound by month so best sellers stay in stock within those limits.
