Notice review
Each complaint read for type, rights owner, ASIN and claim, and checked against your listings, images and brand registration.
CommerceKind is an Amazon agency that helps brands deal with intellectual property complaints. When a listing is removed for a trademark, copyright or patent complaint, our in-house team reviews the notice and your Account Health, works out whether the complaint is valid, gathers the evidence, prepares the retraction request or appeal, and fixes the listing so the same problem does not come back. We work alongside your IP attorney where legal advice is needed, and we never file false claims.

When a rights owner reports a listing for trademark, copyright or patent infringement, Amazon can remove the listing straight away, and the complaint counts against your Account Health Rating. Several complaints in a short time can put the whole selling account at risk. Speed matters, but so does getting the response right, because a weak appeal or an angry message to the rights owner can make things worse.
Some complaints are valid: a listing uses another brand’s name in the title, a copied image or a design that is too close to someone else’s. Some are mistakes, and some are filed to remove a competitor. We review each notice against your listings, invoices and registrations and tell you honestly which kind it is. Where it is valid, we fix the listing. Where it is wrong, we prepare the evidence and the request to retract or the appeal.
The fastest route is often a retraction: the rights owner tells Amazon the complaint can be withdrawn. We write clear, polite requests with the facts the rights owner needs. Where that is not possible, we prepare an appeal with the evidence Amazon asks for, such as invoices from an authorized supplier or proof that you own or licence the content. For patent disputes, we coordinate with your IP attorney, including Amazon’s patent evaluation process where it applies. We do not give legal advice.
Most repeat complaints come from listing content: competitor names in titles or backend keywords, stock photos, borrowed A+ Content or comparison claims. We clean these up across your catalog and check new content before it goes live. See our Amazon account health management and suppressed listing pages, and Amazon account suspension help if your account is already at risk.
If others are using your trademark, images or designs, Amazon Brand Registry gives you tools to report violations. We help brands find and report infringing listings and deal with unauthorized resellers through our Amazon brand protection, Brand Registry and unauthorized sellers services.

Yes. CommerceKind helps brands and sellers with Amazon intellectual property complaints: reviewing the notice and Account Health, gathering evidence, preparing retraction requests and appeals, fixing listings where part of the complaint is valid and preventing repeat complaints, working with your IP attorney where legal advice is needed.
Amazon usually removes the reported listing and records an intellectual property policy violation in Account Health. The notice names the rights owner and the type of complaint, such as trademark, copyright or patent. Several complaints can put the account at risk, so each one should be dealt with quickly and carefully.
Contact the rights owner using the details in the notice, explain the situation with facts and evidence, and ask them to submit a retraction to Amazon. Retractions only work when the complaint was a mistake or the issue has been resolved. We prepare these requests for you.
Yes. If the complaint is wrong, you can appeal from Account Health with evidence such as invoices from an authorized supplier, a licence, or proof that you own the content or trademark. Appeals need to address the specific claim in the notice.
Yes. Intellectual property complaints are recorded as policy violations and can lower your Account Health Rating, which is why we deal with the most serious ones first.
Patent complaints usually need input from an IP attorney. We coordinate the listing side and the evidence with your attorney, including Amazon’s patent evaluation process for utility patents where it applies.
No. We handle the Amazon side: the notice, listings, evidence, retraction requests and appeals. Where a claim needs legal judgment, we work alongside your IP attorney.
Remove other brands’ names from titles and backend keywords, use only images and text you own or licence, buy from authorized suppliers and keep invoices, and check new listings before they go live. We set up these checks across your catalog.
