Fit and prequalification
Product, margin and warehouse review to see where SFP beats FBA, and whether your account meets Amazon’s prequalification requirements.
CommerceKind is an Amazon agency that helps brands qualify for and keep Amazon Seller Fulfilled Prime (SFP), the program that puts the Prime badge on products you ship from your own warehouse or 3PL. Our in-house team checks whether SFP fits your products, prepares your shipping settings, carriers and cut-off times for the trial, watches on-time delivery, valid tracking and cancellation rates every week, and balances SFP with FBA so you keep Prime without giving up control of your stock.

Seller Fulfilled Prime lets a seller show the Prime badge on products shipped from their own warehouse or 3PL instead of Amazon’s. Prime shoppers see the same fast, free delivery promise, and the brand keeps control of its stock and avoids FBA fees. In return, the seller has to deliver on Amazon’s Prime promise every week. In the US, Amazon states enrolment requirements such as an on-time delivery rate of at least 93.5%, a valid tracking rate of at least 99% and a cancellation rate of no more than 0.5%, plus delivery-speed requirements. Requirements differ by marketplace and change over time, so we check the current ones with you before you start.
To start, a brand needs a Professional selling account, a domestic ship-from address and recent self-fulfilled orders that meet Amazon’s prequalification metrics. Then comes a trial period, typically 30 days, where every Prime order must meet the program’s performance requirements. Most failed trials come down to settings: cut-off times that are too early, handling times set above what Prime needs, carriers Amazon does not integrate, or no weekend coverage. We set these up before the trial starts and watch the trial every day.
Amazon reviews SFP performance every week, and ongoing misses can lead to Prime offers being disabled. We track on-time delivery, valid tracking, cancellations and delivery-speed coverage, use daily order limits when volume spikes, and plan stock and staffing for Prime Day, Black Friday and the holidays. See our Amazon Prime Day agency and Amazon inventory management pages.
SFP is rarely all or nothing. Many brands keep fast, small products in FBA, use SFP for oversized or seasonal items, and ship Shopify or Walmart orders through their own warehouse or Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment. We plan the split by product size, margin and demand. We cover every Amazon marketplace, including the US, the UK, Canada and Europe, where SFP rules differ by country.

In the US, Amazon lists requirements such as a Professional selling account, a domestic ship-from address, an on-time delivery rate of at least 93.5%, valid tracking of at least 99%, a cancellation rate of no more than 0.5% and delivery-speed coverage requirements. Requirements vary by marketplace and change, so we check the current ones before you apply.
Check whether you are prequalified in Seller Central, set up shipping settings, carriers and cut-off times that can meet Prime delivery promises, then pass a trial period, typically 30 days, by meeting the performance requirements on Prime orders.
Amazon reopened SFP enrolment in the US in 2023, and sellers can check prequalification in Seller Central. You need a history of self-fulfilled orders that meet the prequalification metrics before you can start a trial.
It depends on the product. SFP often suits oversized, heavy, slow-moving, seasonal or high-value products, or brands with an efficient warehouse or 3PL. FBA often suits small, fast-moving products. Many brands use both.
Tracking must come from carriers Amazon integrates with, and Buy Shipping labels come with on-time delivery protection in some cases, which is why many SFP sellers use it. Rules differ by marketplace, and in the UK most Prime labels must be bought through Buy Shipping.
Amazon reviews performance weekly and sends notices. Ongoing misses can lead to Prime offers being disabled and removal from the program, after which you would need to prequalify and pass a new trial. We monitor weekly so problems are fixed early.
